The Business of CLUBLIFE #1

More than 60% of all Americans are overweight.  This is believed to be the result of the more than one factor in our lives today.  We find ways to make life less strenuous.  Machines and computer do our work and our lives are filled with too much food, way too much of the wrong kind of food.

Americans are at an all-time high of the need to live healthier lifestyles to help reverse obesity related illness and rising costs of healthcare.  It is more important now than ever for fitness clubs to develop programs that will help retain and attract more consumers to their centers. I would encourage you to use this newsletter as a resource for discovering new ways to energize your members lifestyle.  (Educate or motivate your members lifestyle)

I would like to take a moment to express my appreciation for your patronage of clublife media.  I hope you have come to experience your health club as more than just another place to work out.  Your members bodies and lives can be transformed. For years, as a fitness professional, I have said, I help change peoples lives. I believe ClubLife will change more peoples lives than…

The importance of fitness clubs is to provide an environment where people can work out safely and efficiently, but also provide a place where people can meet and share their experiences with one another.  One key component to a successful program is connecting with individuals who have similar interests and goals, and are also determined to change their lives for the better.

Women are the future of the fitness industry. Types of marketing done in recent years, ie flashing of T&A is only now starting to be overcome so how do we as an industry get to the next level? Many multipurpose club owners are in the process of developing womens only areas with real equipment (cardio & selectorized machines) We are all aware of the growth model of curves concept

I would say whatever growth model you choose, women need to be integrated and a core compenont of your club. Women are enoourmous consumers of health information, we should feed that appetite with staff and in club resources

Providing innovative programs and services that really focus on your members is the biggest opportunity for fitness facilities to improve.  Focus on results!
